To activate your USF Email you will first need to activate your NetID:
- Go to https://netid.usf.edu
- Click on the link which says Activate your USF NetID
- Enter your First and Last Names in the fields provided.
- The information you will need:
- Your USF ID# (looks like U123456789).
- Your birthday month and day.
- The last 4 digits of your SSN OR the 4 digit activation code you received from International Services.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. New students will be asked to select a secret question and provide an answer. Users who have previously activated their NetID will be prompted for the answer to their secret question.
- Create your password. Note: Passwords must contain both letters and numbers but no dictionary words and must be at least eight (8) characters long.
Your NetID should now be set up. Students who have previously activated their NetID will be prompted to change their password. Bookmark mail.usf.edu to access your new USF Gmail account. Note: The password you choose for your NetID will also serve as your email password.
